I hope that you will understand if I explain it in English, I really don't know all the words in German, although I read it quite well.
It's really easy. When I had sewn the dress together I left the side seam open. Then I pinned a seam binding (bias tape) flat to the dress and sewed it on so that it made a tube. In that tube I pulled through a piece of elastics (you really want to use about the same length as the chest measurement of the child, perhaps even a few cm extra so that it doesn't fit snug). Sew a couple of stitches in each end of the elastics so that it is securely fastened. These seams will be tested every time the child pulls the dress over her head, so make sure that they are properly done. And then make the side seam as usual.
Just make sure that you get the seam binding straight and make sure that it is at about the same hight, especially in the side seams, and you should be all fine. |
